Did you know that ticks can be active all year round? They wake up at temperatures as low as 7 °C - so it's important to be well prepared. Quick and effective action can significantly reduce the risk of transmitting diseases such as Lyme disease or babesiosis. The KESSI tick hook is an indispensable tool for removing ticks - for both animals and humans. Depending on the size of the tick, either the small or the large hook is used. Application: Carefully slide the appropriate hook under the tick. Lift slightly. Slowly and gently rotate around its own axis without applying pressure. The tick will detach completely within a few seconds. The KESSI tick hooks are made of sturdy plastic and can be used again and again. It is advisable to have them with you every time you take your dog for a walk and to keep them to hand at home and in the car. Important: Ticks should not be killed or treated with household remedies before removal. After removal, it should be checked whether the tick has been completely removed. The parasite should then be disposed of safely. We also recommend disinfecting the bite site with an antiseptic.
